Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong Kubernetes operations experience to lead our transition from AWS-managed services to workloads running on EKS. Over time, this role will help reduce AWS dependency and make parts of the platform portable to other infrastructure providers, potentially including Hetzner.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Migration: Lead the transition from AWS-managed services toward EKS-based workloads.
• Infrastructure Architecture: Design and maintain high-availability, low-latency infrastructure with future portability in mind.
• Cloud Operations: Manage cloud resources, load balancers, and autoscaling groups.
• Automation: Manage infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) to ensure consistent deployments.
• Observability: Own monitoring and performance visibility using Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Mastery: Production experience operating stateful data systems in Kubernetes (Kafka, Postgres, ClickHouse).
• AWS/EKS: Deep experience with AWS and production Kubernetes is required.
• Mindset: Proven ability to design infrastructure for high-throughput, low-latency workloads.
