The Brazilian Real stablecoin, BRS, with reserve yield shared back to the platforms that bring it onchain.
Nora runs the network behind BRS, a Brazilian Real stablecoin built for partners. Each BRS is backed by sovereign and money-market instruments and redeemable 1:1 for reais through Pix, Brazil's instant payment system. Reserves are held with custodian Mirae Asset and attested in real time by Fact Finance. BRS is live as an SPL token on Solana, as well as on Ethereum, Base and Polygon.
Nora is built for the platforms that bring the Real onchain rather than for retail users. Neobanks get yield and cheaper FX for their users, on- and off-ramps earn revenue on the liquidity they bring, and tokenizers get distribution for their assets. Instead of keeping reserve income for itself, Nora shares the yield with partners: a tiered cut of the reserve yield on the BRS each platform brings in, rising from 10% to 20% and then 40% as their balance grows. An open onchain FX market and a network of liquidity providers replace the usual OTC desk.
For developers, Nora is a BRL-to-crypto rail behind a single REST API. An onramp takes a Pix payment and mints BRS to a whitelisted wallet; an offramp burns BRS on-chain and sends reais back via Pix, with each request tracked through its compliance, payment-rail and on-chain stages. Partners build against a sandbox and go live by switching keys. Based in São Paulo and Florianópolis and part of Superteam Brazil, Nora lists 4Pay, Pods, GOWD, conta.vc, Brasil Bitcoin and the Uniswap Foundation among its partners.
