Bitwise Solana Staking ETF Pulls In $20M as Institutional Appetite Grows
Bitwise’s BSOL has reached roughly $730 million in net assets, offering investors spot SOL exposure alongside a net staking yield of about 5.83%.

The Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) attracted $20 million in inflows this week, extending a strong accumulation trend for the first U.S. exchange-traded product offering direct spot exposure to SOL with staking rewards built in. The fund’s net assets are now approaching $730 million, less than a year after its launch.
A staking-focused structure
BSOL launched in late October 2025 and is designed to stake virtually 100% of its assets, passing the resulting rewards through to shareholders. Its current gross staking yield is approximately 6.20%, or about 5.83% after fees.
The ETF charges a 0.20% management fee, although Bitwise has waived that fee for the first $1 billion in assets during the launch period. With the fund at roughly $730 million, the fee-waiver threshold is becoming more relevant as assets continue to grow.
By mid-August, BSOL held approximately 8.36 million SOL. Coinbase Custody handles custody, while Bank of New York Mellon serves as administrator and KPMG is responsible for audit duties.
Inflows build despite weaker SOL prices
The latest $20 million intake follows a broader pattern of rising demand. Data from SoSoValue showed approximately $10.26 million in weekly inflows for the period ending August 14, 2026—the fund’s strongest weekly result since May. On August 10 alone, BSOL recorded $8.8 million, its largest single-day intake at that point.
The fund collected $267.1 million in total inflows during the first half of 2026. The continued buying is notable because SOL prices had generally declined earlier in the year, suggesting that some investors were positioning for a recovery rather than simply following upward momentum.
Key figures from the fund’s recent performance include:
- $20 million in inflows this week
- Approximately $730 million in net assets
- Roughly 8.36 million SOL held by mid-August
- About 5.83% net staking yield after fees
- $267.1 million in inflows during the first half of 2026
What This Means
BSOL gives institutional and other regulated-market investors a way to combine spot SOL exposure with an income component. A net yield near 5.83% can provide returns when prices are flat, add to gains in a rising market, and offer some cushion during a decline—though staking rewards do not remove the risks of SOL price volatility.
The ETF’s holdings also represent a meaningful share of staked SOL supply. If inflows persist, BSOL could further concentrate SOL within a regulated investment vehicle while increasing institutional participation in the network’s staking economy. Its approach toward the $1 billion fee-waiver limit may also become an important consideration for future shareholders and asset growth.
