Announcing the Winners of the Solana Frontier Hackathon
CrowdBrain takes the $30K grand prize as Colosseum's fifth hackathon draws 10,000+ participants and 2,857 projects — the largest crypto hackathon ever run.
The Solana builder flywheel just hit a new gear.
Colosseum has announced the winners of its fifth hackathon — Solana Frontier — and the numbers tell a story that matters beyond any single project: 10,000+ participants, 2,857 final submissions, builders from 150+ countries. That makes Frontier the largest crypto hackathon ever run.
The grand champion
CrowdBrain walked away with the $30,000 CASH stablecoin top prize. The project is a vertically-integrated robotics DePIN platform that trains operators in simulation before deploying them to real robots for teleoperation and data collection. It's exactly the kind of physical-world infrastructure bet that Solana's throughput and cost structure makes viable on-chain.
25 teams with real startup potential
Beyond the winner, Colosseum named a Top 25 — a cohort the organization believes has the "execution speed, insight, founder-market fit, and prioritization" to build enduring companies. The categories read like a map of where crypto is actually going:
- Finance & Trading: Peaks (AI-managed portfolios), Alpha Group Trading (collaborative mobile trading), WeLikeSports (fantasy sports without house rake), Dropset (onchain forex), YieldCompass (DeFi yield search), Clawpump (agentic finance automation)
- Prediction Markets: Bench, Mentioned (media mention betting), Senthos, Memetic Machines (geopolitical event trading)
- Real-World Assets: ODL (RWA liquidation platform), Housd (real estate tokenization), Nomu (crypto-enabled supply chain)
- Infrastructure: Sudont (crypto security), DashX (compliant cross-border payments), KinnectFi (Philippine diaspora neobank), Stablecorp (remote founder infrastructure)
- Other: Flovia (machine-paid API analytics), Fraudsworth (game-based finance), Cesto (thematic investment baskets), Crafts (stakeholder token offerings), The Syndicate (provably auditable mafia card game)
Special awards
IOChain claimed the $10K University Award for student-led excellence. Zoneless took the $10K Public Good Award for open-source ecosystem contributions.
Sixteen additional projects received honorable mentions including Jurassic Finance, Portara, Surgepay, Ride Markets, Kestrel Protocol, and others.
Signal take: The scale here isn't marketing spin — it's a genuine measure of developer gravity. When 10,000 builders from 150 countries choose Solana as the platform to compete on, that's a structural signal about where serious crypto infrastructure talent is concentrating. Watch Colosseum's accelerator cohort announcements for which of the Top 25 gets backed.
