Solana Reclaims DEX Volume Leadership as DeFi Activity and Memecoins Return
Solana recorded more than $19.7 billion in weekly DEX volume, while memecoin liquidity and social trading activity flowed back to the network.

Solana has reasserted its dominance across onchain markets, reclaiming the top position in decentralized exchange volume as memecoin activity and broader DeFi participation rebound. The network also regained leadership in social trading flows, signaling renewed demand for its liquidity and trading venues.
Solana Retakes the DEX Market Lead
After briefly ceding daily volume-share leadership to BNB and then Robinhood Chain, Solana returned to the top of the spot DEX rankings. Data from Blockworks shows the network processed more than $19.7 billion in trading volume last week, representing 38% of total onchain market share.
Memecoins accounted for a significant portion of that activity. Solana now commands approximately 78% of memecoin volume share, suggesting that traders and liquidity providers have again concentrated around the chain despite challenges from competing networks.
Social trading data points to the same shift. According to Dune Analytics data curated by adam_tehc, more than 54% of fomo trading activity now routes through Solana, up sharply from just 7.8% two weeks earlier. The change indicates that traders are moving back from activity centered on Robinhood Chain and other venues.
- Weekly Solana DEX volume: More than $19.7 billion
- Solana share of overall onchain volume: 38%
- Solana share of memecoin volume: 78%
- Solana routing share on fomo: More than 54%, versus 7.8% two weeks earlier
Stonk Challenges Pump.fun as Launchpad Activity Accelerates
The resurgence has benefited Stonk, an emerging Solana launchpad that has incubated recent meme tokens including $ZCAT, $ALLINU, and $NEARKAT. DefiLlama data shows Stonk generated more than $5 million in revenue over the past seven days, ranking it third among Solana-based applications.
Stonk has also briefly surpassed pump.fun in daily revenue, making it the market leader’s most significant challenge since LetsBonk dominated the launchpad market in July 2025. However, pump.fun remains the leading platform, having withstood competition from projects including Heaven, Boop, and Bags.
The launchpad contest underscores how closely Solana’s DeFi activity remains tied to speculative token creation. Sustaining that momentum will depend on whether new platforms can retain traders and liquidity after initial launches lose attention.
What This Means
The return of memecoin liquidity is reshaping Solana’s DEX structure. Traditional passive AMMs such as Raydium, Orca, and Meteora are regaining share from prop AMMs, which had controlled roughly 70% of Solana DEX volume in January and remain better suited to SOL-stablecoin trading.
Passive pools are generally more adaptable to long-tail assets, helping explain their resurgence as meme activity expands. Raydium has been a major beneficiary as the graduation venue for Stonk-launched tokens, capturing more than 90% of Solana’s meme and stock trading volume and outpacing Pumpswap and Meteora.
For Solana, the data points to a meaningful DeFi recovery, but one still heavily dependent on volatile, attention-driven markets. The network’s renewed volume leadership strengthens its liquidity position, while the durability of the rebound will depend on whether activity broadens beyond memecoins and launchpad speculation.
