Tokenized equities on Solana reach record 2,077 products as trading accelerates
Solana’s tokenized-equity market has expanded to a record 2,077 products, with supply, trading volume and holder addresses also reaching new highs in 2026.

Solana’s tokenized-equity market has reached a record 2,077 unique products, surpassing its previous peak of 2,036. The milestone comes alongside sharp growth in supply, trading activity and wallet participation, signaling rising demand for blockchain-based access to stocks and exchange-traded funds.
A broader on-chain stock catalog
Tokenized equities are digital assets designed to track traditional investments, including shares of U.S. companies and ETFs. Unlike conventional brokerage holdings, these instruments can be held in crypto wallets, traded outside standard exchange hours and divided into fractional positions.
Several market indicators have advanced alongside the product count:
- Tokenized-equity supply reached an all-time high of $684 million in September 2026.
- Supply increased 47% in three weeks during that month.
- Monthly trading volume rose from approximately $3.3 billion to $4.4 billion in September.
- Holder addresses reached 850,000 in September and later passed 1 million, with some reports estimating as many as 1.5 million addresses.
Wallet counts should not be interpreted as a direct measure of individual investors. A single person may control multiple addresses, meaning the data more precisely reflects on-chain participation and activity than the number of unique users.
Issuers and after-hours demand
The expansion is being driven by multiple issuers rather than a single platform. xStocks, launched in June 2025, currently leads the market. Ondo Global Markets expanded onto Solana in January 2026, while Backpack Securities began offering products in June.
Solana also holds the largest share of tokenized-equity trading volume among competing blockchains, according to the research. The network’s integration with decentralized finance applications is a key part of that position: tokenized shares can potentially be used in lending markets or exchanged on decentralized trading venues instead of remaining dormant in a brokerage account.
Trading patterns further highlight the appeal of blockchain-based markets. As much as 63% of tokenized-equity trades occur outside traditional market hours. U.S. stock exchanges generally operate on weekdays during fixed sessions, while blockchain networks run continuously, including nights, weekends and holidays.
The regulatory backdrop
The growth arrived shortly after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced an innovation exemption in mid-September 2026. The measure is viewed as creating more favorable conditions for on-chain trading of tokenized NMS stocks, a category covering shares listed on national U.S. exchanges.
The timing coincided with the market’s rapid expansion. Supply rose 47% in three weeks during the same month as the exemption, although the available data does not establish that the policy change alone caused the increase.
What This Means
Solana is becoming a significant venue for tokenized versions of traditional equities, combining around-the-clock settlement with access to DeFi infrastructure. The record product count and rising volumes suggest that issuers and traders are testing a more flexible market structure, but wallet-based participation figures remain imperfect and regulatory conditions will continue to shape adoption.
