Solana Transactions Hit Record 4.2B as RWA Activity Grows
Solana processed a record 4.2 billion transactions in July as tokenized real-world assets on the network approached $4 billion and SOL rallied 40% in eight days.

Solana recorded its strongest month of transaction activity in July, processing 4.2 billion transactions as tokenized real-world assets expanded across the network. The surge preceded a rally that pushed SOL above $100 for the first time since February, with broader crypto-market recovery supporting the move.
Network Activity Accelerates
Data presented by The Kobeissi Letter showed that Solana’s July transaction count increased 13.5% from the previous month. Activity has risen by roughly 2 billion transactions since December, representing a 91% increase over that period.
The figures indicate that Solana’s recent growth is not limited to token prices. Transaction activity has continued to build even as market conditions shifted, providing a measure of on-chain usage alongside the network’s expanding asset and application ecosystem.
Key transaction figures include:
- 4.2 billion transactions processed in July.
- 13.5% month-over-month growth.
- Approximately 2 billion additional transactions since December.
- A 91% increase from December levels.
Tokenized Assets Near $4 Billion
The increase in network activity has coincided with growth in tokenized real-world assets. RWA.xyz data cited by The Kobeissi Letter showed that the value of distributed RWAs across tracked blockchain networks climbed above $38 billion.
On Solana, tokenized real-world assets reached nearly $4 billion, rising approximately 11.8% over the past month. The category includes blockchain-based representations of assets from traditional markets, adding another source of demand for settlement and transfer activity on the network.
Solana’s RWA expansion comes as the broader tokenization sector gains visibility. While the data does not establish that RWA growth alone caused the increase in transactions, the parallel trends point to a wider range of activity taking place beyond speculative trading.
SOL Rally Tracks Broader Recovery
SOL rallied roughly 40% over eight days, according to CoinMarketCap data. Much of the move occurred alongside a broader rebound in cryptocurrency markets rather than in isolation from macroeconomic developments.
The rally accelerated after the US Treasury Department announced plans to double certain long-dated bond buybacks to at least $4 billion per operation. The move pushed yields lower and helped lift risk appetite across crypto markets, creating a more supportive backdrop for digital assets.
What This Means
Solana is entering this phase of the market with two reinforcing signals: record transaction throughput and rapidly growing tokenized-asset value. If RWA activity continues to expand, it could strengthen the case for SOL as infrastructure supporting settlement and financial applications, rather than only as a trading asset. However, the recent 40% rally also means price momentum remains exposed to shifts in broader crypto sentiment, interest rates and risk appetite.
