Tokenized Stocks Surpass $2.6B as Solana Leads Onchain Equity Trading

Tokenized stocks have surpassed $2.6 billion in onchain market capitalization, up from approximately $329 million a year earlier. The more-than-fivefold expansion places Solana at the center of a rapidly growing market for blockchain-based exposure to traditional and private-company equities.

Market Growth Accelerates

The sector’s market capitalization rose from roughly $1.7 billion at the end of June 2026 to about $2.28 billion by early August, according to data cited from Token Terminal. The latest reading has pushed the market above $2.6 billion, while current growth rates suggest it could approach $4 billion before the end of the year.

Trading activity has expanded alongside capitalization. Spot volume for onchain tokenized equities exceeded $3.8 billion in June 2026 alone, with tokenized SpaceX shares identified as a major source of demand. The products offer exposure to a company that remains private in traditional markets, broadening the range of assets available to crypto-native investors.

• Onchain tokenized-stock market cap: above $2.6 billion
• Market cap one year earlier: approximately $329 million
• June 2026 spot trading volume: more than $3.8 billion
• Potential year-end market cap: nearly $4 billion

Solana Emerges as the Primary Venue

Solana’s cumulative tokenized-stock volume passed $10 billion by June 2026, making it the leading blockchain for digital-equity trading. The network’s high transaction throughput and comparatively low fees make it suited to equity-like instruments that require fast, inexpensive settlement.

The market remains concentrated among a small group of issuers. Two or three firms account for more than 80% of total market share, reflecting the sector’s early stage and the regulatory complexity associated with bringing securities onchain. Ondo Finance is a leading issuer, while Kraken’s xStocks and Binance’s bStocks benefit from established exchange infrastructure and broad user bases.

A significant share of demand comes from outside the United States. Many products are structured under Regulation S, which supports securities offerings to non-U.S. investors without requiring the same SEC registration process applicable to domestic offerings. Data platforms such as RWA.xyz are also becoming important as investors seek greater transparency into issuers, assets, and market activity.

What This Means

For Solana, the figures reinforce its position as the primary settlement and trading environment for tokenized equities. For investors, these products provide a bridge between DeFi and traditional market exposure without requiring funds to leave blockchain ecosystems. Projections that the sector could reach 1 million wallets by the end of 2026 point to continued adoption, although issuer concentration and regulatory constraints remain important risks as the market scales.
