JUP Gains 51% as Jupiter Lend Overtakes Kamino on Solana
Jupiter’s JUP token has rallied sharply over four weeks even as the protocol’s fee generation declines, shifting investor focus toward the growth of its lending business.

Jupiter’s JUP token has climbed approximately 51% over the past four weeks, according to research reported by Crypto Briefing. The rally has come as Jupiter’s recent fee revenue trends lower, while its lending product has expanded rapidly enough to overtake Kamino Finance as Solana’s largest lending market.
Jupiter Lend Takes the Lending Lead
Jupiter Lend now holds between $1.21 billion and $1.41 billion in total value locked (TVL) and active loans, the research found. TVL measures the assets deposited in a protocol and is commonly used as an indicator of user participation and capital confidence.
Active loans grew between 14% and 28% over the past month. That growth helped Jupiter Lend move ahead of Kamino Finance, which had previously held the top position in Solana’s lending sector. Kamino remains a significant competitor, but the shift illustrates how quickly users can move when an established DeFi brand enters a new category.
Jupiter’s lending expansion also builds on its existing position in Solana trading. The protocol controls approximately 95% of the Solana aggregator market and has processed more than $1.2 trillion in cumulative aggregator volume. That user base gives Jupiter a distribution advantage as it promotes lending products to traders already using its interface.
Token Momentum Versus Protocol Fees
The central tension in the JUP rally is the gap between token performance and current earnings. Jupiter’s recent 30-day protocol fees have been running at approximately $5.5 million, far below the roughly $580 million in fees recorded during 2025, its peak year.
The research also describes JUP’s price action as decoupled from SOL, Solana’s native token. That divergence suggests the market may be responding more to Jupiter’s business expansion and lending growth than to broader Solana price trends.
Key metrics for investors include:
- JUP performance: approximately 51% higher over four weeks.
- Jupiter Lend TVL and active loans: between $1.21 billion and $1.41 billion.
- Recent 30-day fees: approximately $5.5 million.
- Historical 2025 fees: approximately $580 million.
- Aggregator market share: approximately 95% on Solana.
What This Means
JUP’s rally is currently based more on a growth narrative than on sustained fee generation. Jupiter Lend’s expanding loan book could create a recurring revenue stream if borrowing activity remains strong, but that conversion has yet to be demonstrated by current fee levels.
The expansion also increases concentration risk across Solana DeFi. Jupiter now has leading positions in both token aggregation and lending, making technical failures, governance disputes, or risk-management problems more consequential for the ecosystem. Market participants will be watching whether lending TVL continues to rise, whether monthly fees stabilize, and whether JUP maintains its independence from SOL if broader crypto conditions weaken.
