Solana Reclaims Weekly Dominance in Tokenized Equity Trading
Solana has regained the top spot in weekly tokenized equity trading volume after a 14-week stretch in which BNB and Robinhood led the market.

Solana has reclaimed its position as the leading blockchain for weekly tokenized equity trading, ending a 14-week period in which BNB and Robinhood held the top spot. The shift comes as meme-and-stock trading activity cools across the broader market, leaving issuers competing more directly for Solana’s DeFi traders.
Solana Retakes the Lead
According to Blockworks data cited by SolanaFloor, Solana accounted for 31% of weekly tokenized equity trading volume across all tracked chains. BNB followed with 26%, while Robinhood represented 25%. Base has also emerged as a growing competitor, reaching 18% market share after recording consistent week-on-week gains.
The renewed lead suggests that Solana remains a significant venue for onchain equity activity even as speculative trading conditions soften. The market is increasingly shaped by competition between issuers seeking to attract liquidity, users and integrations across the network.
Within Solana DeFi, $SPCX was the network’s most-traded tokenized equity in the latest reported session. Backpack-issued $SPCX generated $19.4 million in trading volume, while the xStocks version recorded $5.26 million in flow.
xStocks and Backpack Compete for DeFi Liquidity
Backpack Securities and xStocks are currently the two leading tokenized equity issuers on Solana. Last week, each captured 48% of total trading volume, while Ondo and newly launched Securitize struggled to gain comparable traction.
The two leading issuers benefit from deeper onchain liquidity and stronger brand recognition. Their assets are also more accessible to DeFi users than competing products with structural limitations:
- Ondo stocks trade through a request-for-quote system, making them less composable onchain.
- Securitize stocks are limited to whitelisted users.
- xStocks and Backpack assets are positioned for more direct interaction with Solana’s trading ecosystem.
Despite the near tie in trading volume, xStocks has a substantially larger footprint across the wider DeFi market. The issuer accounts for more than 77% of Solana’s tokenized equity supply, compared with 5% for Backpack-issued equities.
xStocks and Superstate are also the only issuers represented in lending markets such as Kamino and Jupiter Lend, giving their assets utility beyond spot trading.
What This Means
Solana’s return to the top highlights the network’s liquidity and composability advantages in tokenized equities. However, the close contest between xStocks and Backpack shows that leadership at the chain level does not guarantee dominance for any single issuer.
The data also points to a more selective market. Solana’s tokenized equity activity is holding its competitive position, while its tokenized commodities sector has weakened: weekly commodity volume fell 72%, from a record $92.5 million to $25 million as memecoin activity and custom token-pairing interest cooled. For Solana, sustained growth in tokenized equities may depend on whether issuers can convert trading momentum into deeper DeFi integrations and durable user demand.
