Solana's curated marketplace for 1-of-1 fine art, auctions and editions. Closed on August 1, 2026.
Exchange.art ceased operations on August 1, 2026.
Launched during the 2021 NFT boom, Exchange.art was Solana's home for curated fine art: 1-of-1 pieces, editions and live auctions from independent artists, built as an alternative to profile-picture collections. It took a 2.5% fee per sale, far below the cut traditional galleries take from artists, and in 2022 it introduced a Royalties Protection Standard that blocked creators' work from being sold on marketplaces that didn't honour royalties, at a time when much of the NFT market was dropping them.
In early July 2026, CEO Alex Fleseriu announced the shutdown, saying the company could not find a financially viable path forward through the extended downturn in onchain art activity. Before closing, all artworks and funds held in Exchange.art's sales and escrow contracts were released to their owners. Pieces minted through the platform remain on Solana and can be listed on other marketplaces such as Tensor and Magic Eden, but no replacement marketplace or migration tool was announced, and the site's interface and data are no longer available.

After an incredible journey, Exchange Art will officially cease operations on 08/01/26. The platform and its services will no longer be available after this date. Building Exchange Art and fostering an art community on Solana has been an honor and privilege, unfortunately we could not find a viable path forward as a company fiscally during this prolonged bear market for art on chain. Users are encouraged to access their accounts and retrieve any necessary information they may need prior to shutdown. All artworks and/or currencies currently held within Exchange Art sales & escrow contracts will be released by Exchange Art to the proper owners prior to the platform’s closure. All artwork is minted to the Solana blockchain and will be available to import on other marketplaces. No extra steps are needed from artists or collectors to ensure their artwork is secure and lasts on. We are deeply grateful to every artist, collector, curator, and supporter who helped shape what this platform is to its core. Exchange Art will officially shut down and be inaccessible on Saturday, August 1; 08/01/26.
