Solstice Finance Brings Strategy’s STRC Preferred-Stock Income Product to Solana
Solstice Finance has launched strcUSX, a structured Solana product dividing indirect exposure to Strategy’s STRC preferred stock into senior and junior yield tranches.

Solstice Finance has rolled out strcUSX, a structured product on Solana that gives DeFi users indirect exposure to the dividend income and price risk of Strategy’s STRC preferred stock. The product does not tokenize the Nasdaq-listed shares or grant users ownership of them.
How the Solstice Vault Works
Users deposit USX, Solstice’s dollar-linked settlement token, into a vault and receive one of two Solana-based tokens tied to the economics of a portfolio holding STRC. The structure separates income and risk between senior and junior holders.
- SR-strcUSX: The senior token is designed to receive income first and targets a 7% annual yield.
- JR-strcUSX: The junior token receives residual income after senior holders and targets more than 20% APY.
Junior holders absorb losses first if the value of the STRC position declines. That creates a trade-off between the two tranches: senior holders receive priority access to income and are intended to be partially shielded from mark-to-market losses, while junior holders accept greater downside exposure in exchange for higher potential returns.
Yield accrues through changes in each token’s exchange rate rather than through separate distributions. Users can redeem after a seven-day unlock period or exit immediately by paying a fee.
STRC’s Dividend and Market Risk
STRC, also known as “Stretch,” is Strategy’s variable-rate perpetual preferred stock. It currently pays a 12% annual cash dividend, distributed twice a month, although the rate is set by Strategy’s board and payments remain subject to declaration.
The stock’s dividend can continue even if its market price declines. Solstice’s structure is designed to separate those two elements, but it does not eliminate the underlying risks associated with STRC or the portfolio holding it.
Strategy disclosed that it sold 1,690 bitcoin for $108.6 million and used the proceeds to repurchase 1,152,020 STRC shares. Following the transaction, Strategy reported holding 840,447 BTC. Those corporate actions and the company’s bitcoin exposure can influence how markets assess STRC and, indirectly, the Solstice product.
According to Solstice, strcUSX is the first STRC-linked instrument on Solana. The launch expands the types of traditional-market exposures that can be packaged into on-chain financial products without directly representing the underlying securities as tokens.
What This Means
The rollout gives Solana DeFi users access to a structured income strategy linked to a public-company preferred stock, while introducing a tranche-based risk model more commonly associated with structured finance. The senior and junior tokens may appeal to different risk profiles, but neither represents a guaranteed return: junior holders face first losses, senior holders remain exposed to product, market and redemption risks, and STRC dividends are not assured.
For Solana, the product is another example of institutional-style yield being adapted for on-chain settlement. Its success will likely depend on demand for USX, liquidity for the two tokens, the performance of STRC and users’ willingness to accept a seven-day unlock or immediate-exit fee.
