Standard Chartered-Backed Anchorpoint to Bring $HKDAP Stablecoin to Solana
Hong Kong-licensed issuer Anchorpoint Financial is working with the Solana Foundation to bring native minting and redemption for its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, $HKDAP, to Solana.

Anchorpoint Financial, a Hong Kong-licensed stablecoin issuer backed by Standard Chartered, HKT, and Animoca Brands, has entered a strategic collaboration with the Solana Foundation to expand its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, $HKDAP, to Solana. The planned integration is designed to support near-instant settlement for payments, tokenized real-world assets, and other high-volume financial applications.
A Regulated Hong Kong Dollar Stablecoin
The collaboration will enable native minting and redemption of $HKDAP on Solana, extending the stablecoin beyond its current availability on Ethereum during Anchorpoint’s Beta Access phase. The arrangement is Anchorpoint’s first partnership with a public blockchain foundation.
The initiative is intended to create a regulated route for international users and institutions to access Hong Kong dollar-denominated payments, financial products, and tokenized assets through Solana’s global ecosystem. Anchorpoint and the Solana Foundation also plan to work with corporate partners, wallets, applications, and developers to expand access to the stablecoin and products built around it.
Anchorpoint began rolling out $HKDAP in August after the Hong Kong Monetary Authority granted Standard Chartered and Anchorpoint a stablecoin issuer license on April 10, 2026. The initial Beta Access program focuses on institutional payments and settlement, with HashKey and OSL serving as authorized distribution partners.
From Beta Access to Solana Expansion
The planned Solana deployment is not yet a full public launch. Anchorpoint is targeting a Full Launch as early as the end of 2026, subject to the readiness of issuance, distribution, custody, and other supporting infrastructure.
At that stage, retail users and other participants are expected to be able to access, hold, and use $HKDAP through authorized distributors and ecosystem partners. Anchorpoint’s transparency dashboard currently reports a circulating supply of 103.1 million $HKDAP.
Key milestones and current conditions include:
- Current network: $HKDAP is limited to Ethereum during the Beta Access phase.
- Planned expansion: Solana will support native minting and redemption, subject to infrastructure readiness.
- Target timing: Anchorpoint is targeting a Full Launch as early as the end of 2026.
- Distribution: HashKey and OSL currently serve as authorized distribution partners.
Solana’s Regional RWA Position
The planned integration arrives as Solana builds a larger base for tokenized financial assets. According to rwa.xyz data, the network supports approximately $5.18 billion in tokenized real-world assets and more than 851,000 RWA holders. Solana also recorded the highest net RWA flows over the past 30 days, at approximately $914 million.
The move follows other regional developments, including the launch of Pando Finance’s Pando Solana ETF on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 13 and the Solana Foundation’s opening of a Shanghai office the following day.
What This Means
Bringing a regulated Hong Kong dollar stablecoin to Solana could strengthen the network’s role in regional payments, institutional settlement, and tokenized-asset markets. If the required custody, distribution, and compliance infrastructure is completed, $HKDAP could add a new fiat-denominated settlement asset to Solana’s growing RWA ecosystem while connecting Hong Kong financial activity with global on-chain users.
