Arcium is a Multi-Party Computation (MPC) network built for Solana that provides encrypted computation: applications can process sensitive data while keeping the underlying inputs hidden from any single node in the network. Computations run inside MPC eXecution Environments (MXEs), distributed across computation clusters of nodes that jointly compute a result without any individual node ever seeing the plaintext data — solving the core problem that traditional cryptography only protects data at rest and in transit, not while it's being processed. Built on top of Solana for orchestration, finalization, and application integration, Arcium ships developer tooling including Arcis, Anchor-compatible Solana programs, and TypeScript clients for writing encrypted instructions. It's designed for confidential DeFi, private AI inference, sealed-bid auctions, hidden-information games, and other workloads that don't belong on a fully transparent public blockchain. The network is secured and governed by its $ARX token — delegated by users to secure the network and earn rewards, used by node operators as an incentive to run infrastructure, used to pay network fees for confidential computations and settlements, and used for protocol governance.
