Solana Programs. The official examples, explained.
All official Solana Programs examples, read end to end — real source and real tests on the page, in the order the concepts build. Readable on a plane, in a café, anywhere.
The whole volume, with the real source and the real tests on the page: https://lamport.press/books/basics?utm_source=x-lp
A Solana program has no memory of its own. Anything it has to remember lives in an account. Counter is the smallest version of that idea: one account, holding one number. No signer on the handler, so anyone holding the address can move it. https://t.co/wHKygHO026

Skipping a check means a malicious caller can hand your program the wrong account and your logic will run against it anyway. Account validation is the line between secure and not.
A Solana instruction can name any accounts the caller wants. Nothing forces the right ones to reach your program. That's why Anchor's #[derive(Accounts)] struct exists: each field's type and constraints become validation rules that run before your handler does.
Community members praise Lamport Press as a valuable educational resource for learning Solana development, with active momentum on shipping content and expanding the program examples series. Genuine engagement shows appreciation for the project's educational contribution and ongoing development.
GM ☀️ New week Nothing shipped last week — travel week ✈️ And not a smooth one: delays, missed connection, unexpected night in Istanbul 😓 🛠️ This week, back to work → @LamportPress: promo push + fixes 📚 → @colosseum Crypto World's Fair hackathon just announced — registering 🏁 build in public ⚡
@moviendo_me @LamportPress Small tip for small machines: - dont run the dev server - compile with npm run build - qa against the build not the live server - fix and rebuiks LLMs and the build steps work well like this of you instructed them to this loopz
@moviendo_me @LamportPress @colosseum build in public 💪
