Fully on-chain, crankless central limit order book DEX built by Ellipsis Labs.
Phoenix is a fully on-chain, non-custodial exchange on Solana built by Ellipsis Labs. It started as a central limit order book (CLOB) for spot trading, launched in 2023, designed so trades settle instantly without a separate "crank" process, which made it one of the most capital-efficient venues for market makers on Solana.
Phoenix has since expanded into derivatives as Phoenix Trade, offering on-chain perpetual futures across more than 80 markets covering crypto, equities and commodities. On September 16, 2026, Ellipsis Labs added SOL as native collateral, letting traders margin positions with SOL directly instead of converting to USDC first, at an 80% collateral weight. Traders can also access Phoenix from mobile browsers without installing an app.
Open interest reached record levels in 2026, helped by the Flight Club incentive program. Phoenix perps are also built into other apps: in August 2026 Solflare embedded Phoenix perpetuals directly in its wallet, giving its users access to more than 65 leveraged markets.
