Verta is a mobile-first streaming platform for premium vertical microdramas: short, serialized stories filmed for phones, built around fast pacing, cliffhangers and strong emotional hooks. Instead of 45-minute episodes, viewers watch compact episodes in the moments between other things, the format that has grown rapidly on short-video platforms worldwide.
The platform combines licensed series with original Verta productions, including crypto-native thrillers and founder and startup dramas, and uses AI as a production layer for script development, storyboarding, voice, dubbing and localization. Over time it plans to publish fully AI-produced series as well, as long as they meet its quality bar. Verta pairs this with transparent creator monetization: clearer revenue sharing and on-chain royalty tracking for creators and rights holders.
Blockchain powers audience participation. Verta plans to use $SKR, the Solana Mobile Seeker token, for unlocking premium episodes, exclusive content, community votes and rewards. Viewers will be able to help greenlight new shows and seasons and share in the revenue of select community-backed series.
Verta Entertainment is led by founder Jesse Bias (product and engineering, formerly at Chia Network), with Joshua Olatunde (finance and operations, formerly JPMorgan and Amazon) and Edward Singletary Jr. (content and production, 20+ years in film, TV and vertical drama), and advised by former Village Roadshow executive Louis Santor. It is backed by Solana Mobile and ElevenLabs' startup grants program, is part of Superteam Thailand, and is preparing to launch on the App Store and Google Play, with a waitlist open now.
