Jupiter brings Asian equity perpetuals to Solana with Chainlink data
Jupiter Exchange has added perpetual contracts tracking five major Asian equities, using Chainlink’s expanded APAC Equities Streams across six regional exchanges.

Jupiter Exchange is bringing perpetual trading for some of Asia’s largest publicly listed companies to Solana. The venue is among the first to use Chainlink’s expanded APAC Equities Streams, giving on-chain traders exposure to TSMC, Tencent, Samsung, SK Hynix and BYD without requiring a brokerage account in the companies’ home markets.
A broader menu of equity exposure
The contracts track the prices of the underlying shares but do not represent ownership of them. Like other perpetuals, they have no expiration date, allowing traders to maintain directional positions for as long as their margin and the venue’s risk controls permit.
The launch follows Chainlink’s November 3 expansion of its APAC equity data product. The coverage now spans five markets:
- China
- Japan
- South Korea
- Taiwan
- Hong Kong
Data is sourced from six exchanges: the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Korea Exchange, Taiwan Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Together, those markets represent more than $40 trillion in market value, creating a substantially larger addressable universe for tokenized or derivative-based equity exposure on Solana.
Chainlink’s role in the contracts
Perpetual markets depend on reliable reference prices to calculate funding, collateral values and liquidations. Chainlink supplies that external data through its APAC Equities Streams, which provide high-frequency updates during each exchange’s regular trading hours.
The feeds use Chainlink’s RWA Advanced (v11) schema and quote assets in their local currencies. A Tokyo-listed security, for example, is represented in yen rather than automatically converted into a dollar-denominated price. That approach preserves the market convention of the underlying exchange while giving Jupiter a standardized way to bring the data on-chain.
Chainlink initially launched the APAC Equities Streams on June 22, 2026. Expanding from two exchanges to six in roughly five months significantly increases the range of regional assets that can support blockchain-based trading products.
The overnight pricing challenge
The new contracts also introduce a risk that differs from ordinary crypto perpetuals. The equity feeds update only while their respective exchanges are open, meaning prices can go quiet after local trading sessions end.
The perpetual contracts, however, continue to exist around the clock. Traders therefore need to understand how Jupiter handles positions, collateral and liquidations during gaps between regional sessions. Prices can move materially when an exchange is closed because of news, currency changes or activity in related markets, even if the official reference feed is not updating.
What This Means
Jupiter’s rollout expands Solana’s access to global financial markets and demonstrates how oracle infrastructure can connect traditional equities with on-chain derivatives. The combination of familiar Asian technology names, local-currency pricing and perpetual liquidity could attract traders seeking non-crypto exposure.
The opportunity comes with operational complexity. The quality of the product will depend not only on Chainlink’s data during trading hours, but also on Jupiter’s safeguards for overnight periods, market reopenings and abrupt price gaps. Those mechanics will be central to determining whether the contracts become a durable bridge between Asian equities and decentralized trading.
