Backpack Securities Takes 63% of Solana’s Tokenized Equity Trading Volume
Backpack Securities recorded more than $584 million in weekly tokenized-equity volume, reclaiming the lead from xStocks despite trailing its rival in circulating supply, liquidity and DeFi integrations.

Backpack Securities has reclaimed the lead in Solana’s tokenized-equity market, recording more than $584 million in weekly trading volume and capturing over 63% of market activity. The surge puts the issuer ahead of rival xStocks among Solana DeFi traders, even as xStocks maintains a significant advantage in circulating supply and liquidity.
Backpack Regains the Volume Lead
According to Blockworks Data, the latest weekly figure represents Backpack Securities’ strongest performance since entering the tokenized-stock market. The issuer’s volume now accounts for nearly two-thirds of trading across Solana’s tokenized-equity venues, reversing several weeks in which xStocks held the top position.
The shift highlights the difference between market activity and asset availability. Backpack has become the preferred venue for recent trading flows despite having a smaller onchain footprint than its main competitor.
Key market figures include:
- $584 million-plus in weekly tokenized-equity volume for Backpack Securities.
- More than 63% of weekly tokenized-equity market share for Backpack.
- Approximately $480 million in circulating xStocks-issued assets.
- More than 77% of Solana’s tokenized-equity supply represented by xStocks assets.
The data suggests that traders are concentrating activity in Backpack-linked markets, potentially reflecting differences in product selection, execution, incentives or user demand rather than overall supply.
xStocks Keeps the Infrastructure Advantage
While Backpack leads in weekly volume, xStocks continues to hold structural advantages across the broader DeFi ecosystem. Its assets represent the majority of circulating tokenized-equity supply on Solana and remain more deeply integrated into spot decentralized exchanges and lending markets.
Aggregated liquidity data shows that 11 of Solana’s top 20 tokenized-equity pools contain xStocks-issued assets. By comparison, Backpack Securities has not yet been integrated into major lending platforms such as Jupiter Lend and Kamino.
That integration gap could limit Backpack’s ability to turn trading momentum into broader collateral demand. Lending support can increase capital efficiency by allowing users to borrow against tokenized stocks, use them in yield strategies or deploy them as margin across DeFi applications.
At the same time, Backpack’s volume lead indicates that supply depth is not the only factor determining market share. Strong demand for particular assets or trading pairs can produce substantial activity even when an issuer’s total circulating value and pool coverage are smaller.
What This Means
Backpack’s performance reinforces the growing importance of tokenized equities within Solana’s onchain economy. The market is no longer defined solely by which issuer has the largest supply; trading velocity, distribution and user access are becoming equally important competitive measures.
The next phase of tokenized real-world assets may come from broader asset coverage, including emerging-market securities and long-tail equities. If Backpack converts its volume leadership into integrations with lending and liquidity protocols, competition with xStocks could expand from a trading race into a wider battle over Solana’s RWA-Fi infrastructure.
