Jupiter Takes the Lead in Solana Lending Across Five Key Metrics
Jupiter Lend has overtaken Kamino across deposits, loans, utilization and stablecoin activity, strengthening the case for its expanding DeFi superapp strategy.

Jupiter Lend has emerged as Solana’s leading lending protocol across five key metrics, according to Blockworks data cited by SolanaFloor. The shift puts Jupiter ahead of established credit platform Kamino while the broader protocol continues adding products to its DeFi stack.
Jupiter’s Lending Lead
Jupiter currently holds $2.78 billion in total deposits and $1.12 billion in outstanding loans. Kamino follows with $2.17 billion in deposits and $855 million in loans.
The protocols are closer on utilization, which measures the share of deposited capital currently lent out. Jupiter records a 40.34% utilization rate, narrowly ahead of Kamino at 39.31%. The figures indicate that Jupiter is not only attracting more capital, but is also deploying a comparable proportion of that liquidity through loans.
The gap is substantially wider in stablecoin lending:
- Jupiter: $1.33 billion in stablecoin deposits and $907 million in stablecoin loans.
- Kamino: $652 million in stablecoin deposits and $532 million in stablecoin loans.
Jupiter also leads weekly lending deposits. After overtaking Kamino in June 2026, it now accounts for 53% of weekly deposits, compared with Kamino’s 41%. That flow-based advantage suggests the ranking is being reinforced by new user capital, rather than reflecting only an accumulated historical lead.
From Exchange Aggregator to DeFi Stack
The lending milestone arrives as Jupiter expands beyond its original exchange-aggregator role. Earlier on October 27, the protocol launched Jupiter Bridge in beta, adding cross-chain transfer routing to its growing collection of products.
The bridge aggregator compares routes and rates across Relay, Mayan, Circle CCTP, NEAR and other providers. Its purpose is to help users identify competitive ways to move assets to and from Solana, adding another access point to Jupiter’s broader ecosystem.
Jupiter’s product suite now spans its DEX aggregator, lending, wallet services and bridging. The strategy has raised questions about whether the team could maintain focus across multiple businesses. Its lending performance offers a counterpoint, showing that the expansion has produced meaningful traction in at least one major DeFi category.
At the same time, Jupiter’s lead is not universal. Its DEX-aggregator volume share has declined from as high as 94% in February 2026 to around 60% currently. The protocol also faces competition from GMTrade, Pacifica and others in perpetuals trading.
What This Means
Jupiter’s lending lead strengthens its position as one of Solana’s most extensive DeFi platforms and gives it greater control over stablecoin liquidity. The scale of its deposits and loans could support cross-product user flows, allowing capital brought in for swapping or bridging to move into lending markets.
For Solana’s DeFi landscape, the data points to intensifying competition rather than a settled market. Kamino remains a major credit platform, while Jupiter’s gains show that distribution and product breadth can quickly reshape lending share. The next test will be whether Jupiter can sustain its lead while defending its trading business against increasingly specialized rivals.
