Solana Sets Daily Record With 263,000 Tokens Issued
Solana recorded its highest-ever daily token issuance, with memecoin launchpad Pump.fun responsible for most of the tokens created through launchpads.

Solana recorded an all-time high in daily token issuance on Wednesday, with more than 263,000 new Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens minted on the network. The surge exceeds issuance levels seen during the peak of the 2024 memecoin cycle, underscoring the scale of token creation across Solana’s ecosystem.
A New High for Token Creation
Data from Solscan showed that Solana surpassed its previous daily issuance records with more than 263,000 tokens created in a single day. By comparison, the network issued approximately 40,000 to 50,000 tokens per day at the height of the memecoin cycle in December 2024.
The latest figure includes tokens created both independently and through launchpad platforms. Launchpads allow users to design, issue and trade memecoins with limited technical expertise, while automating elements such as token creation, initial liquidity and market visibility.
Key issuance comparisons include:
- More than 263,000 SPL tokens issued in the latest daily record.
- Approximately 40,000 to 50,000 tokens per day issued during the December 2024 memecoin peak.
- 40,360 tokens issued through launchpads in the period tracked by Blockworks’ dashboard.
Pump.fun Drives Launchpad Activity
Memecoin platform Pump.fun accounted for the majority of launchpad-issued tokens, with 34,184 coins attributed to the Solana-native platform. That represents most of the 40,360 tokens issued through launchpads, highlighting Pump.fun’s central role in the network’s current token creation activity.
The platform has also remained one of Solana’s largest sources of protocol revenue. According to DefiLlama, Pump.fun generated $1.8 million in the 24 hours covered by the data, ranking it as Solana’s leading protocol by daily revenue during that period.
Pump.fun briefly lost that position last Friday to Fomo, a trading application that combines cryptocurrency trading with social-feed features. Even with memecoin activity described as cooling, Pump.fun accounted for $124 million, or roughly one-third, of Solana’s $342 million in first-quarter 2026 revenue.
What This Means
The issuance record shows that Solana continues to support high-volume, low-friction token experimentation, particularly through memecoin launchpads. However, the number of tokens created does not necessarily indicate sustained demand, liquidity or lasting adoption for those assets.
For the broader market, the data points to a growing concentration of economic activity around token-launch infrastructure. Pump.fun’s issuance share and revenue contribution demonstrate the platform’s importance to Solana’s ecosystem, while also emphasizing the network’s continued exposure to rapidly changing memecoin activity and speculative trading cycles.
