Tokenized Stocks on Solana Reach $12.4 Billion in DEX Volume This Year
Solana has become the leading venue for on-chain equity trading, with Raydium and xStocks accounting for a substantial share of activity.
Tokenized stocks on Solana have generated $12.4 billion in decentralized exchange volume so far in 2026, turning on-chain equities from a niche experiment into a meaningful part of decentralized trading. Raydium leads the market with approximately $6.1 billion in volume.
Solana Dominates On-Chain Equity Trading
Activity accelerated sharply during the second quarter. Solana recorded $5.8 billion in tokenized equity DEX volume in Q2 2026, a 114% increase from the previous quarter. The network captured approximately 95% of global on-chain equity DEX trading during the period.
September added another $4.4 billion in tokenized stock DEX volume, with Raydium and Orca handling most of the flow. Across all blockchain networks, tokenized stocks generated $48.7 billion in volume over the preceding 12 months, while Solana’s share frequently exceeded 95% during peak trading windows.
Tokenized equities now account for more than 4% of total DEX spot volume in 2026, underscoring the growing importance of real-world assets within crypto market activity.
Raydium and xStocks Set the Pace
Raydium has emerged as the default venue for Solana’s tokenized stock market. In recent snapshots, the exchange routed more than 90% of the network’s tokenized stock flows, while its cumulative category volume passed $5 billion by mid-September.
Through mid-September, Raydium processed approximately $2.3 billion in tokenized stock volume during Q3, representing a 40% increase from the previous quarter.
Much of the expansion is tied to xStocks, a product developed by Backed Finance. Each xStock token is backed on a 1:1 basis by an underlying equity held with a custodian. By September 18, xStocks had exceeded $6 billion in cumulative Solana trading volume, representing 54% of the network’s historical tokenized stock volume.
- Raydium: more than 90% of recent Solana tokenized stock flows
- xStocks: 54% of Solana’s historical tokenized stock volume
- Q2 2026: $5.8 billion in tokenized equity DEX volume
- September 2026: $4.4 billion in tokenized stock DEX volume
What This Means
Solana’s lead gives the network a strong position as regulated financial assets move on-chain, particularly as a reported SEC innovation exemption could make compliant on-chain trading easier. Competition is developing, however, with BNB Chain offering bStocks and Robinhood Chain pursuing on-chain equity traders.
The concentration of activity also creates risks. Dependence on Raydium and xStocks may make the market efficient, but it leaves a large share of liquidity tied to a small number of venues and issuers. Because the tokens rely on custodians holding the underlying shares, traders also face issuer and counterparty risks that differ from directly owning stock. Solana’s volume growth is significant, but the market’s durability will depend on broader venue competition, custody standards, and regulatory clarity.
