The home of Solana DAOs, built on the SPL Governance program.
Realms is the on-chain governance platform behind thousands of Solana DAOs. It is built on SPL Governance, the open-source program originally developed by Solana Labs, which lets communities create a DAO, vote on proposals and manage a treasury entirely on-chain. Proposals that pass execute automatically, so a DAO's treasury and program upgrade authority can be governed by token holders instead of a single key.
The platform hosts more than 4,000 organizations and over $500 million in treasury assets, including the governance of many well-known Solana protocols. Realms supports Solana Token Extensions for governance tokens, NFT-based voting, council and community voting, and plugins for custom voter weights.
In October 2024 Realms separated from Solana Labs and became independent under the Realms Today Trust. It has since launched a grants program for Solana DAOs (R.E.D., initially backed by Jito, Marinade, Pyth and Metaplex) and advisory services to help DAOs set up governance and legal structures. The original Realms interface was retired on July 1, 2026, in favor of the new Realms v2 app. The underlying SPL Governance 3.1 program is immutable and continues to run, so existing DAOs keep working.

Why? Markets move too fast for a community to vote on every trade. Holders govern policy; the agent handles execution within those limits. @realmsdaos turns that collective intent into onchain, composable governance. Shoutout to @deanmachine for his help and guidance!
